Notes:

• 2001-2003 crown victoria carpeting will fit in a 1992-2000 vehicle, but one will have to lay shims under the carpeting on the transmission tunnel towards the dashboard because of the added height for the restraints control module present in 2001 and later vehicles
• 2000 and prior carpeting will NOT fit in a 2001-2003 crownvic due to clearance issues around the front of the transmission tunnel
• Lincoln town car carpeting is NOT compatible with a crown victoria due to added floorpan length of the towncar
• Original equipment (OE) ford crown victoria carpeting is a 1 peice unit, not a 2 peice unit like much aftermarket carpeting is. OE carpeting will also match the color of your interior much closer than much of the aftermarket carpeting
• Much of the "pre-owned" salvage yard carpeting will be stained or offensive odors embedded in it. Odors can be very difficult to detect at a quick glance, and one may not notice the problem until after the carpeting is installed and the car is parked with the windows closed for an extended period. Offensive odors for a civilian crown victoria are generally mold and mildew related. But on police interceptors, one may also encounter bodily fluid odors from previous "backseat passengers" (i.e. urine, vomit, etc) and also the associated cleaning fluid odor (i.e. lysol, bleach, etc)
• Police interceptor floor covering frequently has holes cut & drilled in it from previously installed equipment. Police use frequently wears the floor covering at a greatly accelerated rate in relation to typical civilian use (pay particular attention to the area where the drivers feet contact the floor).
